New Size Cage for 2003 Crown Victoria

A slight change to the arm rest in the backseat of the 2003 Crown Victoria has rendered our partitions too wide for installation. Well, the truth is that the partition does fit as nicely as it ever has; the problem occurs when you're through with the install. When you go to close the back door, you can't because the arm rest makes contact with the partition frame and the door won't completely close.

For those of you who want to continue using this wider cage in the 2003 Crown Vics, we do have a solution. By installing door skins, the arm rest is no longer an issue and installation and fit are a breeze.

If you have one of our 58.25" wide partitions and want to use it in a 2003 Crown Victoria, please call to ask about our door skins.

TROY has re-designed the size of the partition to eliminate the problem in the Crown Victoria. It is now about 53 inches wide. In so doing, this new-size cage not only fits in the 2003 Crown Vics, but also into an Impala and Intrepid.

We will continue to offer for sale the 58.25" wide partitions for installation into Tahoes, Suburbans, and Expeditions.

Driver Advantage Package -- For The Big Boys!

All of you tall officers can sit comfortably, now. TROY is introducing its "Driver Advantage Package" as a new item in the partition product line. There is no extra charge for this new design!

This new mounting kit design offers more room for the driver. The bracket for attaching the partition to the B pillar has been lengthened so that the seat can be leaned back some three clicks from the upright position. This design requires that the side filler panels be widened to eliminate any gaps between the car and the partition. The foot brackets remain the same.

Up Side: The officer behind the wheel feels more comfortable.
Down Side: The prisoner space is encroached upon.

As an optional accessory, we offer a kick panel with a recessed foot area to optimize the foot space for any back-seat rider. If you are interested in this new product, please give us a call and we'll give you part numbers and pricing information.

Both the "big-boy" mounting kit and the recessed foot kick panels are available for our TP-COMPACT and TP-CENTURY cages as well.

NOTE: If you used the TP-CENTURY for installation into Crown Victorias, with the 2003 model, you'll now want to use the TP-COMPACT. Naturally, if you want to transfer the TP-CENTURY into a 2003 Crown Vic, again, you have to use door skins to make the transfer successful.

Ford Crown Victoria - "Crown Package"

Some agencies are ordering Crown Victorias with the wire harness. The enclosure for the harness rides along the length of the transmission hump. If your car has this harness and you're going to install a partition, TROY makes a special partition and kick panel notched to accommodate installation over this enclosure. (Some installation shops have been doing the cutting on their own. No need!)

Theft-Discouraging Partition

Have you ever had someone crawl through the space in your sliding window partition to escape, or worse, take off in your car? Don't laugh. It's happened.

TROY offers a partition with an additional vertical bracket in the window area. The space through which an individual can theoretically crawl when the sliding window is fully open is now halved by the placement of this extra bracket.

There is a price adder for this feature. If you are interested in this particular partition, please call customer service to get a part number and price.

IMPORTANT: When you order a partition from any manufacture, remember to always indicate the make, model and year of vehicle. This will ensure that the company will send the correct mounting kit.

COMPUTER MOUNTS

Modcon Mount

The CM-MODCONMNT has been modified to allow for skewing of computers towards the passenger side to make it more comfortable for the driver. The physical changes are as follows:

- The new platform is 10" wide vs 8" wide as originally designed
- There are cross slots that allow for positioning options both vertically and horizontally
- When bolted to the back of a MODCON or MC console, the mount protrudes slightly on the passenger side rather than sitting flush

The part number for this modified mount is CM-MODCONMNT-S.

If you ordered a computer mount that is NOT already designed to skew towards the passenger, please consider ordering this newly modified mount. If you're not sure the computer mount you ordered is skewed, please confirm with customer service before selecting the Modcon mount.

Motorola 520 Mount

Currently, you can order a floor mount version of the Motorola 520 Workstation mount with a CPU bracket that's either vertical -- CM-M5200MNT -- or horizontal -
CM-M5200MNT(H). This mount works in concert with any of our consoles.

You can now also order a 520 mount designed to sit atop a MODCON or MC console via the CM-MODCONMNT. The original design has been modified as follows:

- Pole mount has been eliminated (no bolting to console floor mount)
- The CPU bracket made as a separate part (depending on where you install it)
- Space between screen mount and keyboard mount can be increased or decreased (your call) depending upon ergonomic requirements (such as access to dashboard controls, airbag zone concerns, etc.).
- Made to work exclusively with any MODCON console or with any MC console.

PARTITIONS

TP-Century-F & SS Partitions

This partition comes with only a punched mesh screen window. You have the option of purchasing a bolt-on type spit shield in two sizes: 60% of the window size and 100%.

We now offer a new style window. Instead of just a diamond-punch mesh screen, we will punch out a completely open area and bolt on a full window of Lexan. (The Lexan will feature ventilation holes down the center of it.)

Add $150.00 to the list price of any diamond-punch partition you want to modify in this way.
