INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
FORD CROWN VICTORIA
2-MNT-CV09 (SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG DESIGN APPROACH)

Remove seat belt mechanism from both driver - and passenger - side B pillar covers.
Remove seat belt bolt at vehicle floor.
Remove both upper and lower B-pillar covers from each side.

Install B-pillar brackets by aligning the pillar end over the slotted hole with a plactic insert (where the plastic cover was attached) and TEK-screw into place.
Use four (4) #10 TEK screws included in the hardware package.

Place partition foot brackets on the vehicle ledge so that the round hole lines up with seat belt anchor point. Use the same OEM bolt to secure the foot bracket and re-attach the seat belt.

After installing foot brackets on each side, slip the small spacer over the foot bracket tube.

With B-pillar brackets in place, place the plastic covers over the brackets and mark where you need to notch in order to clear the brackets. On the upper plastic cover, make a notch at the bottom edge measuring about 1 3/4" long x 1/2" wide. On the lower plastic cover, make a notch at the top edge measuring about 1 1/4" long x 1/2" wide.

After cutting the covers, re-attach both upper and lower plastic B-pillar covers on both sides. Re-install the seat belt mechanisms.

Put vinyl cap on partition frame and then place onto foot brackets. Temporarily secure the partition to the B-pillar brackets by
hand-tightening with 3/8" - 16 x 1 1/4" bolt, washer and nut.
Next, secure the upper polycarbonate "wing" by lining up the slotted holes in the metal plate to the
pre-drilled and threaded holes in the window of the aluminum frame. Use two (2) 1/4 - 20 x 5/8" screws per side.

Next, bolt together at the same partition tab the B-pillar bracket, top end of all metal lower side filler panel and bottom end of upper polycarbonate wing using the same 3/8 - 16 x 1 1/4" bolt with respective nut and washer. Repeat the process on the other side.


When you have bolted these pieces together, it will look like the photo to the left.

Bolt the low end of the lower all-metal side filler panel to the lowest tab on the partition using the 3/8 - 16 x 1" bolt on each side.

Be sure to check all anchoring points for the entire installation to assure that all bolts/screws are tight!
